Amor my Armor (Love mi Armadura) and The Poet of Washington Heights- A Kindle Book of Poetry and Prose

I wonder if you knew in addition to writing many books about mental and physical health,  I also write poetry and literary prose? I invite you to check out The Poet of Washington Heights a Kindle book of poetry and prose! Top Amazon Reviewer Grady Harp said “Full of love and introspection and sharing of his philosophy, this is a book to read slowly and absorb. Grady Harp, March 16” The book has 5 reviews with 4.6 Stars to date. To give you a taste of my poetic style, I include a poem below to the love of my life, mi amante! I love the poem so much because we wrote it together in Spanish, and it still holds much meaning to me. I do hope you will enjoy a glimpse into my heart through my words.

By Mi Amor and William Jiang
In this harsh world,
My wardrobe would not be
Complete
Without
You. – My Love
Neruda, Cervantes, Marquez,
Were right.
The light in your eyes
Gives strength to my heart.
Every heartbeat
Shudders my soul.
My heart leaps to hear
The sound of
Your voice.
The poets are well aware of the power of
Love.
This is because almost all the songs
Refer to this sentiment.
With love, we can capture eternity
In one short second.
As Don Quixote put on his armor,
To fight dark feelings.
You defend me with your arms.
Without you I feel like one hundred years of solitude.
While you bury your head
From your brown eyes that glow in
My gray eyes.
I see you.
Beauty is said to be in the eye
Of the beholder.
There is reason you
Are in my eye,
And, you make me smile hard and hot.
You’re my steel flower in battle,
My armor
Against
The night.
I love you.
Thank you.
